EPEG 3000

EPEG 3000 is a polyether macromonomer utilized as a core raw material in the production of polycarboxylate superplasticizers (PCE).

EPEG 3000 (Ethylene Glycol Monovinyl Polyoxyethylene Ether) is a polyether macromonomer widely utilized as a core raw material in the production of polycarboxylate superplasticizers (PCE). It is synthesized via the reaction of diethylene glycol vinyl ether with ethylene oxide. With an average molecular weight of around 3000,  EPEG 3000 presents as a white to light yellow water-soluble solid.

The long polyoxyethylene side chains of EPEG 3000 promote the formation of comb-type polymers, delivering effective dispersion and enhanced slump retention in concrete and mortar systems. PCE admixtures derived from EPEG 3000 demonstrate consistent performance across varying cement chemistries, offering dependable water reduction and workability maintenance in a broad range of concrete and mortar applications.
